Following the ratification of 51 countries, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) went into effect on January 22. We held a press conference that day to celebrate the historic moment, further the understanding of the threat of nuclear weapons, and call for their elimination. ONONDAGA LAND RIGHTS ACTION Federal Judge Dismisses Onondaga Land Rights Action. On September 23, 2010, over 50 NOON supporters joined with friends at the Onondaga Nation to express our solidarity with the Onondaga in the wake of the federal court dismissal of the Onondaga Land Rights Action and recommit ourselves to the work of getting our nation to live up to the terms of the treaties we have signed with the Onondaga. UNDERSTANDING HAUDENOSAUNEE CULTURE Philosophy. The philosophy of the Haudenosaunee is the search for understanding of the basic truths of the native universe. It is how the Haudenosaunee have come to understand their role in the world and the important lessons that understanding teaches: ONONDAGA LAND RIGHTS ACTION Federal Judge Dismisses Onondaga Land Rights Action. On September 23, 2010, over 50 NOON supporters joined with friends at the Onondaga Nation to express our solidarity with the Onondaga in the wake of the federal court dismissal of the Onondaga Land Rights Action and recommit ourselves to the work of getting our nation to live up to the terms of the treaties we have signed with the Onondaga. IROQUOIS WOMEN INSPIRE 19TH CENTURY FEMINISTS With this universal view of women in place, one might wonder how Stanton and other early feminists were inspired to imagine the possibility of a more equal society. That inspiration came from contemporary women who in fact lived very different lives from theirs, the women of the six Iroquois nations-Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga,Oneida, Mohawk and

WHAT IS HYDROFRACKING? Slick water hydraulic fracturing, also known as hydrofracking, is a new development in natural gas extraction. The process was created by Halliburton Inc. (well known for its work in Iraq and elsewhere), Schlumberger Inc., and Messina Inc. This process makes mining for natural gas in dense shale more economically possible, where before itwas not.
