If you’re dealing with prostate cancer – the disease itself, or the aftermath of treatment – then you are dealing with issues of survivorship, says PCF-funded medical oncologist Alicia Morgans, M.D., M.P.H., soon to become the new Medical Director of Cancer Survivorship at Dana Farber.. ADT will try to affect your overall health, but here’s the good news: you can fight back, says PCF-funded medical oncologist Alicia Morgans, M.D., M.P.H., soon to be Medical Director of Cancer Survivorship at Dana Farber. Arm yourself with what it might do, and you will be better able to protect yourself against its tactics. CARING FOR YOURSELF DURING AND AFTER PROSTATE CANCER: BEST Today is National Cancer Survivors’ Day, when we celebrate people living with a history of cancer. It’s a day to reflect on what survivors bring to our community and to recognize the challenges they face during and after treatment. CHALLENGE AWARDS ARCHIVES One of PCF’s goals is to support transformational prostate cancer research to accelerate progress towards the reduction of death and suffering due to recurrent or advanced prostate cancer. We do this by funding cross-disciplinary teams of investigators in strategic areas through our Challenge Awards.Menu

REVOLUTIONIZING RESEARCH The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) is the world’s leading philanthropic organization dedicated to funding life-saving prostate cancer research. Founded in 1993 by Mike Milken, PCF has raised more than $800 million in support of cutting-edge research by more than 2,200 research projects at 220 leading cancer centers in 22 countries around the world. Thanks in part to PCF’s commitment to ending death and suffering from prostate cancer, the death rate is down more than 50% and countless more men are alive today as a result.
