We acquire the missing pieces of our national parks, the privately owned land located within and adjacent to our national parks’ boundaries. The memory of the defeat and death of soldiers became a rallying cry for the remainder of the War. MOJAVE NATIONAL PRESERVE Mojave National Preserve – Ivanpah Desert Tortoise Research Facility, CA. Chevron Corporation built the Ivanpah Desert Tortoise Research Facility in 2011. It was a creative partnership between the company, the National Park Service, and National Park Trust. The addition of the facility was Chevron’s desire to go beyond habitatprotection
