Saturday, April 24, 2021 Newport Dunes, Newport Beach The Orangewood Adventure Challenge is an exciting and fun multi-sport team-based adventure race in which teams of four-run, navigate, and tackle challenges along a course. According to the 2019 Human Trafficking Victim Report produced by the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force: Of the 415 Orange County human trafficking victims assisted in 2017 and 2018, 87% were victims of sex trafficking. Of the 359 sex trafficking victims: 99% were female. 69% were adults and 31% were minors. 83% were US citizens. ORANGEWOOD FOUNDATION : FOSTER & COMMUNITY YOUTH SERVICES. Statistics: 1/3 of the nation’s homeless youth live in California Of the 6,860 people experiencing homelessness in Orange County, 271 (4%) are transition-aged youth (Orange County Point in Time Count, 2019) Youth experiencing homelessness show an elevated risk of mental health problems, including anxiety disorders, depressions, and suicide due to increased exposure to violence while ORANGEWOOD FOUNDATION : FOSTER & COMMUNITY YOUTH SERVICES. The age at which they were first trafficked ranges from 8 years old to 15 years old. Each young woman was trafficked for between two and nine years. All three were trafficked in California including Orange County, LA County, Riverside County and San Bernardino County.
