FACILITY | OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH Operation Breakthrough's MakerSpace promotes personalized learning through the use of real materials to tinker, problem solve, collaborate and create. Over 300 children have the opportunity to engage with the MakerSpace's six different zones each week. The six zones include textiles, construction/toy hacking, studio arts, chef'scorner, the
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS School-Age. Operation Breakthrough provides a before/after school enrichment programming for 265 children, grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. In our Summer Enrichment Program, children will have 7-1/2 hours of instruction (8 - 3:30) which includes reading, writing, science, STEM, art, music, and PE. Through our talent explorationprogram

HEALTH | OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH Our children experience speech and language delays at twice the rate of the general population. Master’s level Speech and Language Pathologists provide therapy for our children birth to 5 years of age on site at Operation Breakthrough. This early intervention helps children with speech and language impairments in meeting developmentalmilestones.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Operation Breakthrough is always in need of new and used goods for our children and their families. Small donations, such as children's clothing and housewares, can be dropped off at the Center between 12:30-3:30. Please call 816.329.5263 to coordinate bringing your donations to us. Donations are accepted at the back of our building onForest Ave.

The OB Network is a civic-minded social group of Kansas City professionals invested in Operation Breakthrough’s mission to help children and families living in poverty develop their full potential. Our vision is to connect energetic professionals with accessible opportunities to help empower Kansas City children and families fromthe urban core.
ITEM DONATIONS
Operation Breakthrough will not assign a value to the donated goods. Donations may be dropped off between 9 am and 5 pm at the dock behind Corita's Place at 31st and Harrison. We ask that you please not drop off any large items at the center. If you have large donations, call 816-329-5205 or email Zach at zachs@operationbreakthrough.org. SISTER CORITA BUSSANMAS Sister Corita Bussanmas, co-founder of Operation Breakthrough, passed away 03-27-21 at the age of 87. A 50-year champion of children and families facing adversity, Sister Corita spent most of her life providing social services, education and health for those most inneed.
