The Plasma Donor Centre has the capacity to take approximately 188 donors in any one day. With the assistance of 76 Navy members from across the Canberra area, the previous record of 111 donations in a FAREWELL TO AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN Farewell to an officer and a gentleman. Portrait of the late Rear Admiral Owen (Oscar) Hughes, AO, RAN (Ret’d). Navy personnel have farewelled a true officer and a gentlemen, Rear Admiral Oscar Hughes, who passed away in Canberra recently. Approximately 300 mourners were told of his career in the Navy and as a civilian, but it was for his RIDING THE REEF FOR BEYOND BLUE As HMAS Sirius was about to commence transiting through the Great Barrier Reef on return from a successful South East Asian deployment, Lieutenant Commander Neil Krauklis was limbering up on the bridge wing waiting for the starter’s whistle to begin pedalling for the charity fundraising event 'Ride the Reef for Beyond Blue'.
