The Rent Well series of classes is designed to assist people who may have difficulty renting an apartment or home, thus enhancing their ability to gain stable housing.MAMOOK TOKATEE
Mamook Tokatee. Leasing for Mamook Tokatee will not begin until late-2021. No application process has been developed yet. It’s a special event for Native American communities that celebrates dance, song, socializing and honors a rich heritage. Cultural Arts Culture Night. This amazing, family-friendly, cultural gathering is the cornerstone of NAYA’s cultural arts programming. Culture Night is a time where families and community members can come together to share a meal, and then participate in any number of activities: beading, singing, crafting, intertribal drumming anddancing.
POWWOW 101 | NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH AND FAMILY CENTER Powwow 101. A Pow Wow is a Native American tradition that brings together many different tribes and communities. It’s a special event for Native American communities that celebrates dance, song, socializing and honors a rich heritage. Pow Wows are amazing celebrations to experience in person, which is why all should visit one at least once in POSITIVE INDIAN PARENTING Positive Indian Parenting. Positive Indian Parenting is an eight week course focusing on traditional and culturally specific parenting practices and values. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HEALING CIRCLE Domestic Violence Healing Circle. The Healing Circle works to end silence around issues of domestic and sexual violence by promoting community strength, respect, and balance in relationships. The Healing Circle provides a wide array of case managed services including crisis intervention, advocacy, and educational services. Additionally, wework

IDA SAVINGS
The longer you save in a monthly IDA account, the more funding you will receive. The minimum you can deposit into an IDA account is $25 per month. All clients must attend Financial Wellness class at NAYA Family Center, which is free of charge and available every other month. All IDA funds are always sent to a third party and neverdirectly to you.
UPCOMING EVENTS ARCHIVE On Monday, May 24, from 5 to 6:30 pm, the Portland Youth and Elders Council is holding a Youth Advocacy Summit. The focus for this meeting will be on uplifting youth to use their voices to share their stories and connecting them with the tools and resources needed to pursue their passions and advocate for their community.HOUSING SUPPORT
Housing Support. The housing program offers longer-term housing stability assistance, emergency energy assistance and Rent Well classes. The Rent Well series of classes is designed to assist people who may have difficulty renting an apartment or home, thus enhancing their ability to gain stable housing. Located at NE 42 nd and NE Going, the building’s 56 low-income housing units will begin leasing in December 2021..
