MY WOMEN STUFF
My Women Stuff by Paris B. Welcome to My Women Stuff, a beauty blog based in Malaysia, written by veteran blogger, Paris B. What you can expect is honesty, critical views & a healthy dose of shared life lessons sprinkled amongst beauty product reviews. FAST, EASY, EFFECTIVE LIQUID FOUNDATION APPLICATION I love learning new and different ways to apply my foundation base. I used to use my fingers a lot, and when I was taught the super quick way of using my palm to spread the foundation on my skin, I was sold. I used this method for a long time, until I came upon the Perfect Foundation Brush. Then, it was brushes all the way for me. I've shared a few Makeup Artist tips for applying foundation REVIEW: CLE DE PEAU BEAUTE THE SERUM I'm going to tell you straight off that this is a splurge, and one I might never have tried, had I not been offered the opportunity to have a go at the Cle de Peau Beaute The Serum. Cle de Peau Beaute revamped their skincare range some time last year, streamlining them with the Key Radiance system that I shared with you here. I don't really want to repeat myself about what it is, and how it's 2-FINGER SUNSCREEN GUIDELINE FOR ENOUGH SUNSCREEN I personally stick with only 2 brands for now : Avene Very High Protection Mineral Cream for my face anytime when I’m headed outside; and ; Allie Extra UV Gel and Extra UV Perfect for my arms when I’m out, and for my face when I’m staying indoors.; To those who have been asking me about Shiseido Perfect UV sunscreen, I know I was a huge proponent of the brand and product many years ago. JO MALONE OSMANTHUS BLOSSOM COLOGNE 2020 There was a time when I'd shy away from light, floral scents. I used to head straight for the strong, heady, spicy notes - the stronger, the better! But then, my lifestyle changed, and so did my preference for scent. I would have turned my nose up at a light floral scent like the Jo Malone Osmanthus Blossom Cologne in the past. But today, I tell myself 'Give it a try. REVIEW: THE BODY SHOP CARROT CREAM Seeing The Body Shop Carrot Cream brought back a flood of memories. When I was studying in the UK, oh years and years ago, I picked up most of my very basic skincare at The Body Shop. It was fairly affordable, even for a student. My mainstay back then was the Vitamin E cream. It was light and comfortable for my skin. But when winter came around and the heating came on, I remember my REVIEW: THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM REJUVENATING RANGE This post is written in partnership with THE FACE SHOP Malaysia. REVIEW: ANTIPODES BAPTISE H2O ULTRA-HYDRATING WATER GEL I once declared that Antipodes skincare can do no wrong in my eyes. I've yet to find a product that has proven that statement wrong! OK granted, I wasn't too big a fan of Halo mud mask, but it still was a decent product. So, when Antipodes launched Baptise H2O Ultra-Hydrating Water Gel, I knew we were in for a treat! The colours are intense and bright, but a little less intense and deep on skin as compared to the colour in the tube. I find that it slicks on easily in one swipe, and feels hydrating and comfortable. It has more of a satin texture, with a hintof a shine

SOME TIPS TO CALM IRRITATED SKIN : WHEN SKIN IS ACTING UP I've always described myself as a bit of a mad scientist when it comes to my skin - I pretty much like to try anything and everything, although I'm a lot more careful and discerning these days. Over the years, I've learned what works, and what doesn't so major disasters have been kept to a minimum. But disasters do happen, and about a month or so back, I experienced a bout of inexplicable REVIEW: MAD HIPPIE VITAMIN A SERUM IN A NUTSHELL. Mad Hippie Vitamin A Serum is a natural based anti-aging product containing a fairly decent concentration of Vitamin A derivative. YOUR SAY: DO YOU PREFER SHOPPING ALONE OR WITH FRIENDS OR There was a time when I'd do my shopping after work on a weekday. The malls are quieter and there's always something a little naughty about shopping on a weekday. A little like a forbidden fruit because week days are for work you know, not play. These days, I hardly go to the malls anymore but last weekend on a bit of a whim, I decided to brave myself and hit the closest mall.MY WOMEN STUFF

* Beauty hor d’oeuvres THE NEW L’OCCITANE IMMORTELLE RESET TRIPHASE ESSENCE IS A LOVELY WAY TO SOOTHE IRRITATED SKIN IF USED AS SUGGESTED May 24, 2021 Paris B 1 Comment I’m currently the most out-of-touch beauty blogger in the entire universe of beauty blogging. I’m still only starting to use products that were ‘newly launched’ a year ago, and I’m not even doing full-on routines for a while now. I think the whole pandemic has gotten to most of us in one way or another, hasn’t it? At least, that’s my excuse.
But recently, I was gifted with a new product, the L’OCCITANE IMMORTELLE RESET TRIPHASE ESSENCE, and I was intrigued enough to slot it straight into my routine. Incidentally, there was a lot of interest in this, when I shared about it on Instagram, so here it is Incidentally, it’s one I suggest that you use as suggested, instead of being too clever about it and using it in a different manner, as I usually doContinue Reading

WHEN I HEAD OUTDOORS, I SLAP ON AVENE VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPORTS FLUID SUNSCREEN ON MY BODY FOR SUN PROTECTION May 19, 2021 Paris B Leave a Comment I have my favourite sunscreens for the face, but if there’s one part of the body I tended to neglect (alongside others),
is my arms. It wasn’t until I noticed that I was developing 2-toned arms from my morning walks, that I sought to take some action. Betterlate than never eh?
Not wanting to use the Avene Very High Protection Mineral Cream on my arms, I went to the pharmacy to see what I could get, and my eye fell on the AVENE VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPORT FLUID. I think I was just suckered in by the words “Very High Protection” LOL! Anyway, I didn’t pay to much attention to it, whether it was a chemical or physical formula, although I lean to the latter for myface.

WHEN WE’RE READY TO WEAR LIP COLOUR IN PUBLIC AGAIN, IT’S GOING TO BE CHANEL ROUGE COCO BLOOM May 4, 2021 Paris B Leave a Comment It’s been so long since I put a lipstick to my lips, I’d almost forgotten how it feels. The past 1.5 years of wearing a mask when out (and not wearing makeup when at home) has consigned most of my lipsticks to the bin. And I had some really nice ones too! Perhaps, as a hope of renewal in 2021, and not without a healthy dose of optimism, Chanel decided to launch a new range of lipsticks – CHANEL ROUGE COCO BLOOM. Promising a hydrating plumping formula and intense shine, these new lipsticks promise to be a treat on lips. And I do like them!Continue Reading

A SAMPLE OF THE FILORGA MESO MASK GOT ME SMITTEN IMMEDIATELY! April 30, 2021 Paris B 1 Comment I love the FILORGA MESO MASK! I think that’s all I want to say haha! I was gifted a few sample sachets of the Filorga Meso Mask quite a few years ago from a Belgian blogger who no longer blogs (Phil, I hope you’re still reading!) He sent me a lovely, giant skincare package of his favourite products from french pharmacy brands, and I lovedthem all!
I especially loved the sachets of the Filorga Meso Mask, and the next time I had an opportunity, I picked up a tub in Paris.
We didn’t have it available here in Malaysia at the time, and it was hard to find it online. But we do now!Continue Reading
