FOR THE FISH
36 gallon: 2 Silver Dollars, mixed Tetras, gold gourami, and a Clown Pleco. 37 gallon: Clean lucy axolotl, Mochi. 28 gallon (Marine tank) Two Picasso Clownfish, and a Fuzzy (Dwarf) Lion fish, along with live rock, snails, hermit crabs and soft coral. Outside of my aquarium hobby, I also have a Shih Tzu named chip, and a black cat named Cocoa. TANK WON’T CYCLE FOR AFTER 3 MONTHS! Bad recommendation. For the health of your fish you need to go bigger water changes and get that ammonia down to 0ppm. There will be ammonia to grow the cycle just not enough to injure your fish. Once you get ammonia to zero, test regularly and see how long it takes to show up again. If it is a week, then your tank is cycled. HELP! DISAPPEARING GUPPY! Disappearing Guppy! | My Aquarium Club. Help! Disappearing guppy! By WarriorWolf, 2 years ago on Tropical Fish. My guppy disappeared. She lived in a 10 gallon tank with 3 other guppies, black molly, and a octocinclus. WILL GOURAMIS EAT NEON TETRAS The tetra ideally need to be in a group of 6 or more. If you do get more neons then it would be a good idea to make sure the water parameters are stable, so it’s best to wait a week or two testing the water daily. Ammonia and nitrite need to be constantly zero. Nitrate should be somewhere between 5 and 20 ppm. FISH SUDDENLY STARTED HIDING Previously, the fish used to swim out, but they have started staying hidden for the past 2-3 weeks. They only come out for food, or sometime when the lights are off. The water parameters are fine. I can’t figure out the reason for this. Can anyone please help. They maybe hiding because they are stressed out due to the fact that theyare hiding.

HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN RELEASE FRY INTO MY MAIN TANK I HAVE At two weeks, the guppy fry should be close to 1/2 inch. Do you have them in a breeder box? I personally don't like to keep them in those for more than a couple of weeks. The lack of space can stunt their growth. They (guppy fry) should be okay to let out and the molly fry could stay in for a week or so.FOR THE FISH

HOW TO FEED THE FISH WHILE YOU'RE AWAY Option 2: The most expensive option is to buy a mechanical feeder, and set it on the frequency that you want. This will make sure your fish is being fed on time. Option 3: Last is the block feeders. With feeding blocks, you put them in the water , and they slowly release food into the water for your fish. ISSUES REGARDING STRESS COAT AND HOW IT MAY BE AFFECTING Issues Regarding Stress Coat. Stress coat is too commonly bought and used as medicine. It is believed that by adding it to the tank, you are helping to calm and soothe your fish who may be struggling or adapting to a new tank. If you use it properly, then it very well may, but if you’re like lots of people, you are doing quite the opposite.WHAT IS THIS BETTA?
thanks for this informative article on betta tail types and how to figure out the genetics of the fry. When you changed the substrate you also removed about one half of the nitrifying bacteria associated with the nitrogen cycle. Most of the other half lives in the filter elements, a few are on other aquarium surfaces, and fewer still are in the water column. If you did not replace any of the filter elements, the nitrogen cycle is alreadyseeded.

Looks like Cyanobacteria, also called green or blue slime disease. It's not really algae but is a bacteria. Not easy to get rid of, sadly. I would remove the rocks and scrub it off them with a stiff brush, vacuum as much as you can and then treat the tank with 3% hydrogen peroxide at a rate of 3ml per gallon.FOR THE FISH

I HAVE A BOTTLE OF 3% HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. DIPPING PLANTS Make a 3% H2O2 solution by mixing 2-3ml of the peroxide per gallon of water. I would advise not to dip the moss ball since its pretty much bunched up algae. The H2O2 would kill it. But after mixing the solution, dip only the leaves of the plants in it. Do not let the roots touch the solution, or it will kill the plant. #4. steph925. 5years ago.
ADDING BAKING SODA TO YOUR FISH TANK TO HELP WITH PH Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 cup of tank water and stir until dissolveddo this in a container outside the tank for good general practice. Once completely dissolved dump it in the tank. Wait about 30 minutes and test for pH and KH. The goal is to get the tank to about 4 to 6 dKH which will increase pH, but sometimes pH is hard to predict. HOW LONG AFTER WATER CHANGE CAN I TEST WATER. I CHANGED How long after water change can I test water. I changed water 2 days ago and tested today. My count was Ammonia. 0 Ph. 7.6 Ph high. 7.4 Nitrite no2. 5.0 Nitrate no3. 20 I have an API Freshwater Master test kit. I have 10 gal tank 3 glofish danio 3 Red fin HOW TOXIC IS 0.25PPM AMMONIA? Zero is really the only acceptable reading. But, when one is cycling a tank with fish in it, we tell people that .25 is the level of ammonia that is considered to be safe. You must have SOME ammonia to cycle a tank. So, .25 is sort of a compromise between the ideal of zero and more than .25. Not perfect, but not a HELP?!? I HAVE VERY HIGH NITRITE AND NITRATE BUT NO I initially added 2ppm ammonia, shortly thereafter, the nitrite level spiked very high and was not coming down even though there were nitrates. This is in a 20 gallon tank with RO water and lots of live plants, pH 7.2. I finally did a 50% water change and of course the nitrites came down toMy Aquarium Club
