In this flick’s case, they threw Kung fu, copious amounts of nudity, cannibalism, zombies, and more against the wall andit all stuck. We’re still waiting on the sequel promised at the end, decades later. 3. HORROR SHOTS PODCAST: H.H. HOLMES' MURDER HOTEL During the World’s Fair of 1893, he decided to convert a building into a hotel for guests of the over 40 countries that would be attending said fair. Only, he built it in such a way that it was filled with traps, dead ends, and mazes. Holmes was a disturbed individual, and his plans for the World’s Fair that year were beyonddastardly.
REEL REVIEW: THE PASSING (2015) Beautifully haunting, the dark and somber Welsh drama, The Passing (Yr Ymadawiad), is a difficult but extremely worthwhile watch. When a mysterious man named Stanley rescues a young couple from a river after a car crash, they are taken to a secluded, ramshackle farm. As events unfold, the truth about the young couple’s past, as well as the FLASHBACK FRIDAY: BLACK CANDLES (1982) This movie, Black Candles, or Sexual Rites of the Devil (Los ritos sexuales del diablo), or Hot Fantasies, was a 70s-feeling flick from the 80s with a bit of that old-school feel of taboo hanging on. Of course, this movie was made also to strictly fight against the idea of taboo, made to push the envelope, and get away with titillating itsaudience.
