Local politics, laws, geographic setting (rural versus urban), existing services for people with disabilities, and more add another layer of complexity to disability culture and identity.Local DISABILITY-INCLUSIVE YOUTH PROGRAMS Youth with disabilities are amongst the most marginalized and poorest of all the world’s youth. They commonly face more discrimination and severe social, economic, and civic disparities as compared with those without disabilities, especially in developing countries.Yet, youth programs seldom address issues of youth with disabilities, much less include them into activities.When youth with DISABILITY RIGHTS & LAWS IN INTERNATIONAL CONTEXTS Just as access is not perfect in the U.S., access won't be perfect when you are abroad. No individual is completely alike - the accommodations that prove useful for one individual may not be relevant to others due to variations in hearing levels, identity, and communication preferences.
