BLACK EXPERIENCE IN THAILAND: IS THERE Kendrix comes from a very similar background as my own. I place a high value on his opinion regarding Thai race relations for two reasons. One, he LIVES in Thailand. I’ve only lived there for a grand total of 7 months. He’s got years under his belt in a rural environment. Secondly, he’s “blacker” than I am. I’m clearly American. HOW TO SLEEP IN AN AIRPORT: CHANGI, THE WORLDS BEST A standard is 76 and budget 48 Singapore dollars. This is largely for privacy and if you want to take a shower. Personally, I don’t see the point. SPLIT CROATIA: RETIREMENT VILLAGE OF PORT CITIES The crowds flowing off these ships transforms this city instantly. Hawkers become more aggressive, prices go up, and tempers become shortened. Split is a prime example of bad tourism. These delicious little balls saved my night. After a particularly underwhelming meal these fried balls of STRIPPED IN THAILAND: MY PING PONG SHOW Bangla Road is one of those places where Thailand perpetuates the stereotypes you see in the movies. Alcohol, Drugs, Prostitutes, Lady Boys, Monkeys. If it’s seedy and overpriced you can bet it’s on Bangla Road. The number one attraction, PING PONG SHOWS. Mornings are filled with Lobster red European tourist heading to Patong Beach, andat
