Hello, it’s me. When I was a young girl, my nickname was Jessica Rabbit. Fast forward 20 years, and I am married to the love of my life who, as fate would have it, has the last name Abbott. That's me! Jessica R Abbott - aka, Jess Rabbit. BABY GIRL SEWING PATTERNS 12 months of sewing patterns for a baby girl. This project took me about 2 days of work, with broken up time of course. You could probably get it finished in 1 full day, if you had a continuous stretch of time to work. But I made sure all of the details were perfect, not skimping out on the hand stitching – but truly makingit a labor of love.
SPORTS BRA PATTERN
Pin and sew, using a 1/4″ seam allowance. Finish seams with serger or zig zag stitch to reinforce. Repeat for lining. Place exterior shoulder seams right sides together, pin and sew. Finish seam and repeat for lining. Slip lining inside of exterior bra, right sides together, matching up side seams. Pin all around the bottom edge.WOMEN'S SKORT DIY
Pin raw edge side seams together, and baste stitch 1/4″ away from edge to secure. Place Back shorts pattern right sides together with the Front shorts, enclosing the skirt panel in between. Pin the basted side seam edge and sew. Finish seam. Press shorts open, and baste stitch the upper edge of your skirt panel to the upper edge of yourFront
TRAPEZE TANK DRESS PATTERN {FREE} The Trapeze Tank Dress is fabulous for throwing on all Summer long, while staying cool in the hot temperatures. Great for every day wear, the trapeze tank dress can also be used as a beach cover up for more conservative dressers. Using soft knit fabric, this dress has a fun swing dress feel – with loads of flow and movement. WOMEN'S COWL NECK SWEATSHIRT How to sew a Cowl Neck Hoodie Sweatshirt, with women’s free sweatshirt pattern. Fabric used in the photos above: Grey sweatshirt fleece – Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores. Sew using a serger, zigzag stitch, or stretch stitch. Finish seam, and press seam down towards woven fabric. Edge stitch seam using a long straight stitch to secure. Repeat step 4 with bottom raw edge of woven fabric band, with the upper cut edge of the bottom half of your shirt. Iron shirt all around for a nice, clean, professional finish!BACK TO BASICS
Next on the Back to Basics Sewing List is the ever so popular Pillowcase Dress and Shirt. Pillowcase Dresses are truly fantastic for a few reasons. Firstly, these things are perfect for beginner sewers. Simple, straight line sewing that yields fantastic results! And if you really are using a pillowcase – you don’t even need PET HAIR RESISTANT CURTAINS DIY 10. Open up the two pieces, roll the interior lining panel up into a tube. Topstitch along the seam, a presser foot’s width and keep the seam allowance pressed towards the lining side. 11. Match up the other side, clip together and stitch 1/2″ seam down the length of the curtain panel. You’ve now created a HOW TO ADD A SIDE DART FOR PROPER FIT Take the muslin and lay it on the sewing pattern. Use transfer paper to trace the dart and the apex to the pattern. Get used to marking your apex .Most fashion designing hinges on it. Draw a line through the center of the dart to the apex. Draw another line about 3.5 inches below the armhole on the side seam and connect it to the apex as well. TULLE OVERLAY SKIRT PATTERN Make sure the gathers are nice and even. Place waistband pattern pieces right sides together, pin and sew side seams. Fold the raw outer edges ¼” towards the wrong side all around, on both sides, and press. Fold waistband in half, enclosing all raw edges, and press. Slip the tulle skirt over the woven skirt and match up the side seams. You could probably get it finished in 1 full day, if you had a continuous stretch of time to work. But I made sure all of the details were perfect, not skimping out on the hand stitching – but truly makingit a labor of love.
SPORTS BRA PATTERN
Pin and sew, using a 1/4″ seam allowance. Finish seams with serger or zig zag stitch to reinforce. Repeat for lining. Place exterior shoulder seams right sides together, pin and sew. Finish seam and repeat for lining. Slip lining inside of exterior bra, right sides together, matching up side seams. Pin all around the bottom edge.WOMEN'S SKORT DIY
Pin raw edge side seams together, and baste stitch 1/4″ away from edge to secure. Place Back shorts pattern right sides together with the Front shorts, enclosing the skirt panel in between. Repeat step 4 with bottom raw edge of woven fabric band, with the upper cut edge of the bottom half of your shirt. Iron shirt all around for a nice, clean, professional finish!BACK TO BASICS
Next on the Back to Basics Sewing List is the ever so popular Pillowcase Dress and Shirt. Pillowcase Dresses are truly fantastic for a few reasons. Firstly, these things are perfect for beginner sewers. Simple, straight line sewing that yields fantastic results! And if you really are using a pillowcase – you don’t even need PET HAIR RESISTANT CURTAINS DIY 10. Open up the two pieces, roll the interior lining panel up into a tube. Topstitch along the seam, a presser foot’s width and keep the seam allowance pressed towards the lining side. 11. Match up the other side, clip together and stitch 1/2″ seam down the length of the curtain panel. You’ve now created a HOW TO ADD A SIDE DART FOR PROPER FIT Take the muslin and lay it on the sewing pattern. Use transfer paper to trace the dart and the apex to the pattern. Get used to marking your apex .Most fashion designing hinges on it. Draw a line through the center of the dart to the apex. Draw another line about 3.5 inches below the armhole on the side seam and connect it to the apex as well. TULLE OVERLAY SKIRT PATTERN Make sure the gathers are nice and even. Place waistband pattern pieces right sides together, pin and sew side seams. Fold the raw outer edges ¼” towards the wrong side all around, on both sides, and press. Fold waistband in half, enclosing all raw edges, and press. Slip the tulle skirt over the woven skirt and match up the side seams.
