I've been dreaming about a lifetime workbench for a few years and finally decided to build this split top Roubo this year. I used Tasmanian Blackwood for the base. This timber is all solid stock, not laminated. Plant Hangers. These plant hangers make great giveawaysespecially during Spring season. I copied this pattern from my neighbors plant hanger and made a couple of spare templates from 1/4” hardboard. Now their a snap to make. They hold 4 6” clay pots perfectly. REVIEW: KUNZ PLUS #3 PRELIMINARY REVIEW The Kunz Plus #3 is a well made plane. It just seems to me that they left out some labor adding finishing steps to hit a certain price point. The unique design of the blade assembly / adjustment I find interesting and useful in getting the blade out of the MY FAVORITE “POWER TOOL” It’s been around 95-98 degrees here in the Twin Cities metro area over the past few days. Unusual for June, but pretty common for July &August.

REVIEW: HARVEY ALPHA SERIES BANDSAW REVIEW With a big cutting project on the books to start 2020, we were in need of an upgrade to our trusty old 14" Grizzly. Although, it is not clear if, as real ship saws, those new ACM saws can be tilted while cutting . In this video there is a demonstration with a saw which has been used to build wooden mine sweepers for WWII and after. B CUTTING BOARD FOOD SAFE FILLERS I am v carving names and engraving designs into cutting boards as gifts. I would really like to fill the cuts with a food safe filler that will hold up to hand washing and not poison my family. (Most of them anyway =) ) I have used a colored 4X4 PRESSURE TREATED FOR SWING? I have 3 nieces and they have a cheap swing set. They are getting bigger , and I would like to make a new swing set. I have no idea how strong a 4x4 Pressure treated board would hold 3 kids. The heaviest kid is 120 lbs. I was thinking of using A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT WATCO DANISH OIL I use Watco Danish oil to finish pretty much everything, and for the longest time I was only using one or two coats and loved the way it looked. But, everyone kept telling me I should use at least three coats. So I started going to three, and I' SEALING THE BURIED PART OF POSTS WITH TAR? i'm building a wooden screen for some privacy around my deck. Part of this will include two 4x4 Cedar posts that will be set 3-4 feet in the ground. I've had some success by putting in the crushed limestone around posts rather than concrete. I LONGEST RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE AVAILABLE? What is the longest reciprocating saw blade you have seen for sale? I have a 12” but would like a 24”. I have seen that Fein makes a 24” blade but it looks like the Fein blades do not match with the Milwaukee or other standard reciprocating saws that all the blades in the big box stores or amazon sells.
