PROS AND CONS OF EACH POINT OF VIEW Pros and Cons of Each Point of View By Claire Merchant When beginning to write a story, one of the first things you need to consider is the point of view to tell it from. Today, I’m going to tell you a bit about the three styles — first person, second person, and third person, and tell you a little about some of the pros and cons of each. MISSION ALERT: ISLAND X Mission Alert: Island X is a story about two teens who are investigating one of their classmates. Tom and Zilla act like ordinary kids when they are not secret agents. At the beginning of the story they are playing soccer with a couple friends when their watches buzz.
