The Conservation Department works closely with the 7-member volunteer Conservation Commission who are appointed to staggered terms by the Board of Selectmen and charged with ensuring the long-term protection of the Town’s natural resources, agricultural & habitat fields and trails. Education and outreach are integral to the Department'smission.
BUILDING & ENGINEERING The Building and Engineering Department issues permits and schedules inspections for all building, plumbing, gas fitting, and wiring projects in the Town of Lincoln. The department also upholds and enforces the town’s zoning bylaws and is available to meet with citizens, architects, builders, realtors, and others interested inbuilding projects.
CEMETERY SERVICES
The Town of Lincoln maintains four public cemeteries. Daily operation of the cemeteries, including requests for interment, lot sales, genealogical inquiries, and marker installation, are overseen by the Town Clerk, who serves as the town’s Cemetery Agent.
