We provide services to aid in emergencies and to help individuals become and remain self-sufficient. CARES included $1.1 billion in funding for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) LCCAA is a CSBG grantee and received $715,000 in CARES funding to provide help for Lorain County residents living at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Line. 2021 CARES MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE Proof of the forbearance will be required. Assistance is limited to three consecutive months of past due mortgage charges and will vary by customer based on their mortgage payment amount. Head Start is a comprehensive child development program funded by the federal government and the flagship program of Community Action Agencies throughout the nation. Head Start and Early Head Start serve low-income children ages 0 to 5 and pregnant women. The entire family benefits from Head Start which prepares children for Kindergarten and COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS LCCAA’s Community Connections program has been suspended. due to supply chain issues. No new applications will be taken during the suspension. Customers will be contacted directly if they are affected. Ohio Edison and LCCAA have teamed up to offer energy-efficient refrigerators, freezers and light-bulbs to income eligible Ohio Edisoncustomers.
