The funding will support landcare bushfire recovery projects in seven government designated bushfire regions impacted by the Black Summer bushfires of 2019/2020. These corporates are seeking to build sustainability initiatives within their supply chains as well as incorporating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The projects these businesses are funding engage farmers involved in their supply chains in sustainable agriculture practices DUNG BEETLES GET BUSY ON WATER QUALITY If left on the surface, cowpats can lose up to 80 percent of their nitrogen. An active dung beetle population has the potential to cycle nutrients and organic matter back into the soil within 24-48 hours, instead of it being lost to the atmosphere, surface water or groundwater. This can reduce the need to use as much fertiliser forpasture
