A history of Excellence Professional Ballet Company and School. Founded in 1957, Kansas City Ballet is a 30-member professional ballet company under the direction of Artistic Director Devon Carney and Executive Director Jeffrey J. Bentley. KANSAS CITY BALLET'S 2021-2022 SEASON This fall, Kansas City Ballet will finally return to its proper place on the stage of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts! Our 2021-2022 season is a reminder of the resiliency of the arts; the sheer toughness of our artists as well as the tenacity of ouraudiences.
KANSAS CITY BALLET DANCERS Kansas City Ballet, a professional ballet company of 30 dancers (and a Second Company comprised of KCB II and Trainees), was incorporated in 1957 by Founder and Artistic Director Tatiana Dokoudovska to serve Greater Kansas City. DANCE CLASSES FOR ADULTS SCHEDULE At KC Ballet School, we believe dance is for everyone, including adults with little or no dance experience. Our Studio class schedule is flexible and teens/adults can take as CELTS - IRISH FOLK DANCE AND BALLET - KC BALLET - OFFICIAL Lila York debuted Celts at Boston Ballet – a year before Michael Flatley’s Riverdance became a sensation – and is a stunning fusion of Irish folk dance and ballet. Set to the music of The Chieftains and more, this celebration of Irish culture has brought audiences to their feet with its choreographically intense jig and captivating energy. Bentley, Executive Director of Kansas City Ballet has been involved in dance and theater for over 40 years as a performer, administrator, festival director, dance presenter, teacher, andconsultant.
DEVON CARNEY ARTISTIC DIRECTOR Devon Carney, Artistic Director of Kansas City Ballet, was born in New Orleans, where he began his dance training with Harvey Hysell. He later joined the New Orleans Ballet, where he danced his first leadingroles.

KANSAS CITY DANCE SCHOOL Learn From The Best. Kansas City Ballet School (KCBS) is the official school of Kansas City Ballet. Under the direction of School Director Grace Holmes, the School offers a complete, professional curriculum for our Academy students. CELTS - IRISH FOLK DANCE AND BALLET - KC BALLET - OFFICIAL Lila York debuted Celts at Boston Ballet – a year before Michael Flatley’s Riverdance became a sensation – and is a stunning fusion of Irish folk dance and ballet. Set to the music of The Chieftains and more, this celebration of Irish culture has brought audiences to their feet with its choreographically intense jig and captivating energy. KANSAS CITY BALLET COMPANY AUDITIONS MAIN COMPANY & KCB II AUDITIONS ARE CLOSED. Trainee Auditions are still OPEN 2021 Audition Requirements. Kansas City Ballet was founded in 1957 by Tatiana Dokoudovska with the goal of establishing a regular presence for ballet in the city. For 20 years she nurtured the company before her retirement. In 1980, Todd Bolender—a former New York City Ballet dancer an international opera and ballet choreographer was chosen to lead. During his tenure, in 1986 the company was renamed the SECOND COMPANY @ HOME: EPISODE 1 Second Company @ Home: Broadcast Series showcases many of the works learned and performed by the Second Company during the 2020-2021 season. These three, 20-minute episodes each include an introduction from Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney, two pieces performed by members of the group, and interviews with company members, as well as other behind-the-scenes KANSAS CITY BALLET DANCERS Kansas City Ballet, a professional ballet company of 30 dancers (and a Second Company comprised of KCB II and Trainees), was incorporated in 1957 by Founder and Artistic Director Tatiana Dokoudovska to serve Greater Kansas City.SCHOOL STAFF
