JENNIFER DRESSMAN DEDICATED ISSUE On behalf of the entire Editorial Team of _JPharmSci_®, we are very pleased to announce that the January, 2022 issue of the journal will be dedicated to Professor Jennifer Dressman. Professor Dressman is a distinguished faculty member and the Director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Johan Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Guest Editors for the dedicated issue include: Dr. Bertil Abrahamsson (AstraZeneca); Dr. James M. Butler (GlaxoSmithKline R&D); Professor Rodrigo Cristofoletti (University of Florida); Professor Edmund Kostewicz (Johan Wolfgang Goethe University); Professor Christos Reppas (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens); and Dr. Christoph Saal (Merck). All types of articles including General Commentaries, Global Health Commentaries, Clinical Trials and Translational Medicine Commentaries, Special Topic Commentaries, Perspectives, Minireviews, Reviews, Rapid Communications, Research Articles, Notes, and Lessons Learned that are pertinent to Professor Dressman’s major research interests will be considered for the dedicated issue. Briefly, the scope of Professor Dressman’s dedicated issue is comprised of her major research interests in new aspects of solubility and related physico-chemical parameters and improving solid-state forms and formulations; in vitro bioequivalence testing of oral products and developability of oral drugs/biopharmaceutics classification in drug development; the use of biorelevant in vitro tests for predicting in vivo performance and simulation of the gastrointestinal luminal environment and hydrodynamics; the impact of gastrointestinal physiology on therapeutic safety and efficacy in special populations including pediatrics to geriatrics; physiologically-based biopharmaceutics modeling of oral drugs; and integrating in vitro and in vivo extrapolation and physiologically-based pharmacokinetics to informdrug development.
