SEARCH AND RESCUE (SAR) Search and Rescue is the lifeline of emergency response. Whether it’s tracking a lost hiker or leading a full-scale avalanche response, SAR personnel are integral to people, communities and organizations. In B.C., there are approximately 2,500 Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers with 79 SAR groups who respond to about 1,700incidents per year.

The Fire & Safety Division provides education and training to new and experienced firefighters in British Columbia. With foundational and advanced programs designed to exceed provincial safety standards, nearly 400 provincial fire departments recognize that our graduates will confidently and professionally respond to complex situations. JIBC offers programs for people interested in beginning aCYBERCRIME ANALYSIS
Cybercrime analysts are responsible for the management of complex data including open source data, individual and organized hackers, and require practical and theoretical abilities to gather, critically assess, and creatively synthesize the data, with the end goal of applying the findings to a variety of contexts. HONOURING THE BURIED CHILDREN AT RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS Join Lorelei Boyce from the Secwepemc Nation and owner of Aboriginal Empowerment, for a one-hour online presentation and ceremony to honour the 215 Indigenous children whose remains were found on the grounds of the Kamloops Indian Residential School. We will hold a candlelight vigil so please prepare items to participate. As a Survivor of St. Joseph’s Mission in Williams Lake, Lorelei knows LAW ENFORCEMENT STUDIES (BLES) The Bachelor of Law Enforcement Studies (BLES) is a highly sought-after program open to students who are focused on pursuing or advancing a career in law enforcement and public safety. The program provides students with the in-depth knowledge, expanded skills and competencies to seek or advance employment in a wide range of lawenforcement
