The hospital relocated to Kovshei Katamon Street in the Old Katamon neighborhood, after its original building was destroyed in the War of Independence (1948). In its new location, the hospital served as a small maternity hospital, with nine rooms and 28 beds. RENE CASSIN MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL The Rene Cassin Municipal High School is a major secular high school that serves Ramat Eshkol, French Hill and other northern neighborhoods. At the time of its construction, the school had the largest student population of any high school in the city–approximately 2,000.
