The fifth month of 2021 has arrived. We are so close to being halfway through the year already. April seemed to come and go in the blink of an eye. Some months are like that, while others drag on for an eternity. Regardless of how fast or slow a month goes, it gives us the opportunity to work on various tasks and objectives. Every month, I take some time to reassess my goals, determine what is and isn’t working, and make adjustments for the current month. Before we get into my May 2021 goals, let’s take a moment to look back over my April goalsRead More → APRIL 2021 READING WRAP-UP2021-05-05

With the arrival of May, it’s time to take a moment to back at the books I read during April. Each month I do my best to read as much as I can. Some months are better than others, but I am determined to get through all of the books that I own. Over the last two years, I have been able to take my enormous TBR down to a more reasonable amount and it shrinks with every month. Reading is one of my favorite activities, it provides entertainment and a chance to learn something new. Camp NaNoWriMo has come to an end! The final week is often a chaotic rush to reach the word count goal and see your story through its final few chapters. Since I had hit the 50,000-word mark last week, anything I wrote in these final few days was a pure bonus. I honestly love when I can go past the goal and get extra words written. It means that the novel draft is that much closer to being done. This April 2021 Camp NaNoWriMo final update goes over the last week of the month-long writing challenge and shows the end result of all that writing.ReadMore →

Grab your DVDs, Blurays, and some popcorn. It’s time for the May 2021 Use It Up Challenge. This month we are focusing on movies. We all have a collection of movies. The allure of the $5 movie bin at stores has allowed your collection to bloom. But are you actually watching those movies regularly or are they sitting there collecting dust? Let’s deal with this entertaining clutter and reduce that collection down to what you truly want to keep and watch. The fourth week of Camp NaNoWriMo has come to an end. With this week behind us, we are truly staring at the finish line. There are just six days left of this month-long writing challenge to write an entire novel in 30 days. At this point, writers should be closing in on the 40000-word mark. That does sound like a lot of words, and it is, but it’s entirely possible. This April 2021 Camp NaNoWriMo week 4 update goes over how this week of writing has gone. The third week of Camp NaNoWriMo has come to an end. Not only does this week get us past the halfway point but it also starts us down the path to the finish line. By this point, many writers have a solid hold of their stories and are actively building their way towards the ending, tossing all kinds of obstacles at their characters and doing their best to create an amazing world. Or they may be huddled in the corner panicking over their lack of words. Trust me, I’ve been in both situations over the years.
