Kansas City Gluten-Free Thanksgiving Guide 2020. November 12, 2020 By Johnna Leave a Comment. If you are preparing your menu for Thanksgiving in Kansas City and could use a little help with pie, rolls and more, you’ve come to the right place. WHAT'S ONE TO DO WITH A DONUT PAN? I rarely use the pans. Last week I saw this great idea from Tiffanie at corner blog, donut crayons! Tiffanie is writing a blog series featuring creative uses of donut pans. She’s already shared a second idea donut seed bombs! I love the idea of planting these in unexpected places. Hop on over to corner blog and check out all of the fun. COPYCAT FRIED PICKLE AND RANCH DIP RECIPE, GLUTEN-FREE In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream and whipped cream cheese with contents of ranch dressing mix. Stir well to combine. Add pickle relish and toasted panko bread crumbs. Stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving to allow contents of dry dressing mix to rehydrate and flavors to combine. PERFECT PIE CRUST (GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY-FREE, EGG-FREE, VEGAN) Instructions. This recipe makes pie crust for two-8" or 9" pies. (Single crust pies, not double crust. If you are making a double crust or a lattice-topped pie, you will need the full recipe.) Make one pie now, freeze the second for later! Mix flour, salt and sugar together in a large mixing bowl. OVERNIGHT OATS, GLUTEN-FREE AND DAIRY-FREE! 1 t. sweetener of your choice, honey, maple syrup, coconut nectar. ¼ cup add-ins*. Spices as desired. *Add-ins include fruit, nuts, nut butter, chocolate pieces, etc. In a mason jar, layer oats, non-dairy milk and non-dairy yogurt. Next, layer in chia seeds, sweetener and add-ins. Stir well, put lid on tightly and store in refrigerator at PEACH SALSA FOR FREEZING OR CANNING Combine all ingredients into large pan. Over medium heat, bring to a boil. After salsa has come to a boil, reduce heat to medium/low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat at the end of 5 minutes and divide into 4 pint containers for freezing. If canning is preferred, there is a link in the blog post with specific canning instructions. JACKFRUIT REUBEN SANDWICH, GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY-FREE AND 8 slices gluten-free sandwich bread. 1 cup sauerkraut. Earth Balance vegan butter substitute to butter the bread. oil for your griddle pan (I use coconut oil) Butter both sides of the bread. With butter side facing out, top one piece of bread with Swiss cheese spread: Then top with corned jackfruit: Then 1/4 cup of sauerkraut: BLUE HEAVEN'S BANANA BREAD, REMODELED (GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY In a small bowl, combine mashed banana, dairy-free yogurt and vanilla bean paste. In another bowl, combine gluten-free flour blend, baking soda and salt. With mixer running on low, add in a bit of the banana mixture. Then add in a bit of the flour mixture. Continue alternating, stopping the mixer as necessary to scrape down the sides. DAIRY-FREE DULCE DE LECHE, ONLY ONE INGREDIENT! Dairy-Free Dulce de Leche Made with only one ingredient, dairy-free and with virtually no hands-on time needed! It is where we start the day with a cup of hot coffee and a glass of green juice, where we talk about the day’s happenings over RESTAURANT STYLE FRIED PICKLES, GLUTEN-FREE Instructions. Drain pickles well and blot dry with a paper towel. Heat oil in pan on cooktop or in deep fryer to 365 degrees. Oil should be at least 1" deep. Mix cornmeal, flour and Old Bay seasoning in a gallon-size ziploc bag. Have an empty plate and a plate MAKE-AHEAD MEAL: CHILE RELLENO CASSEROLE 1/4 cup of my favorite gluten-free flour blend. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large skillet, brown onions and mushrooms. When onions are transparent, add grated tempeh. Add salt, pepper and cayenne. In a 9 x 13 casserole dish, place both cans of whole green chiles on the bottom. I split mine open to lay them out flat. FRIED TOFU AND AWESOME-ISH SAUCE In a medium mixing bowl, combine rice flour and cornstarch. Add tofu cubes and toss well, coating the tofu. In a pan suitable for frying, add 3" of oil. Heat to 350 degrees. Once oil is hot, add half of the tofu cubes. Stir a couple of times to make sure the cubes are not stuck together. Fry for approximately 2 minutes, until the cubes takeon

Over medium low heat, stir often until chocolate and sugar have melted into the coconut milk. Once chocolate is completely melted, remove from heat. Stir in Bourbon and vanilla bean paste.
