IMWA Meetings. IMWA organises a Congress every 3 years and Symposia between the Congresses. In addition, IMWA co-organises other Congresses or Conferences and participates in the organisation of other mine water related meetings. At each IMWA Congress or Symposium peer reviewed or edited Proceedings volumes are produced.PROCEEDINGS
IMWA and the China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) in Xuzhou/China signed a Memorandum of Understanding about future co-operation. In addition, CUMT explained that they are interested in hosting the IMWA 2014 Congress. W. M. WHITE GEOCHEMISTRY CHAPTER 7: TRACE ELEMENTS CHAPTER W. M. THE HIGH DENSITY SLUDGE (HDS) PROCESS AND SULPHATE CONTROL 3 Figure 1 Metal Hydrolysis (from Aubé and Zinck, 2003) Lime dissolution is the first step of the neutralisation process. For large treatment systems, quicklime is used. THE INFLUENCE OF GROUNDWATER PRESSURE ON MINE SLOPE problem in mine slope stability assessment however is the quality of groundwater data for input to ~he analysis. Very often, due to the dynamics of mine slope layout and monitoring HYDROGEOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF OPENCAST EXPLOITATION IN THE 557 mine working and 50-60 m in the area of SZ mine. The calculated values of hydraulic conductivity amounts to 1.6-4.1x10-4 m/s, and transmissivity to 50- 1500 m²/day. Groundwater table in the analysed areas was generally unconfined. KINETIC TESTS TO EVALUATE THE RELATIVE OXIDATION RATES OF 5 accelerating voltage of 20 kV and a constant beam current of 20 nA. The counting time on each peak was 10 s with the exception of Mn (40 s), Ag (40 s) and trace elements (Cd, Co:40 s). GLÜCKAUF! ON THE WEB SITE OF THE INTERNATIONAL MINE WATERASSOCIATION IMWA
Members of the International Mine Water Association (IMWA) share a common interest in mine water and mine drainage issues, though we arrive with different skills, backgrounds, and specialized expertise, in disciplines that range from science (e.g. chemistry, hydrogeology, microbiology, geophysics) to engineering (mostly mining and civil). Our Association has 518 members, including pragmatic consultants and mining company employees, academic researchers (faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates), and government scientists and regulators. Mine water, as we understand it, comprises acid mine drainage (AMD), neutral mine drainage (NMD) and alkaline mine drainage as well as its prevention, control, and treatment. Our dues are low (70 € since 2019 ) and all dues-paying members receive our quarterly journal, Mine Water and the Environment , and discounts at all of our annual Symposia andCongresses.
