Exhibitions. The Humanities Texas exhibitions program circulates traveling exhibitions on a variety of topics ranging from the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence and Martin Luther King Jr. to the art of El Greco and the Dust Bowl. Our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable resources to cultural and educationalinstitutions
GRANTS | HUMANITIES TEXAS Grants. Humanities Texas grants enable communities throughout the state to develop programs of local interest promoting history, culture, and education. Since 1974, we have awarded more than 4,200 grants supporting a wide range of public humanities programs, including lectures, oral history projects, museum exhibitions, teacherinstitutes

In 2020, Humanities Texas held free online professional development institutes and webinar series for Texas teachers covering topics in U.S. history, Texas history, and English language arts. Since its founding in 1973, Humanities Texas (formerly the Texas Council for the Humanities) has published a number of books, reports, and monographs that document the work of the Council and its grantees and promote the humanities and humanities scholarship. Roy Bedichek. June 27, 1878–May 21, 1959. According to J. Frank Dobie, the writer and naturalist Roy Bedichek "liked to cook outdoors, eat outdoors, sleep outdoors, look and listen outdoors, be at one . . . with the first bob-whiting at dawn."
