hey, i have a 1991 accord lx with a nonvtec sohc 2.2 liter engine, is it possible to bolt on a dohc vtec head from a 2.2 liter h22 , if possible is it worth the trouble and will i really see an increase in power any help greatly appreciated thanx ROTATED MY TIRES, NOW THE CAR SHAKES.... This is almost always 37820. The middle 3 digits are the main identifier of the ECU and used in the table above, first column, ECU Code. General info on swaps and prices. The ZC is widely regarded as the easiest engine to swap into 4th Generation Civics. The positive aspects of this engine include the price; DOHC design, availability and both engines are directly bolt in. The ZC is a Japanese Domestic Market engine and was featured in HOW TO BUILD A "RELIABLE" LSVTEC/B20VTEC Now, spread a good layer of high temp RTV on the block and oil pump mating surfaces. Then, reinstall the oil pump and pick up tube, as well as the windage tray. Torque everything to spec. Slip on the oil pan gasket and then the oil pan. Install all the 10mm nuts to spec. Water pump installation. ENGINE REMOVAL GUIDE Check that the engine/transmission is completely free of vacuum hoses, fuel and coolant hoses and electrical wiring. 42. Slowly raise the engine approximately 150mm. Check once again that all hoses and wires are disconnected from the engine/transmission. 43. Raise the engine all the way, and remove it from the car. B-SERIES TRANSMISSION GUIDE This is probably the easiest b-series transmission to find because it's found in every non-VTEC 94-01 Integra. Most notably, this transmission is the longest of all b-series transmissions and has the weakest synchro's and weakest differential. The final drive is 4.266:1 and each of the gears is longer compared to its B16A counterparts. US OCTANE VS OTHER COUNTRY OCTANE RATINGS 98 RON Octane x 0.95 = 93.1 AKI Octane (US measure) 100 RON Octane x 0.95 = 95 AKI Octane (US measure) So, as you can see the 93 or 94 octane fuel we are all paying an arm and a leg for is actually quite comparable to the higher octane fuels found in Europe and Japan. Jan 11, 2009. #14. on my swap I used a p28, jumper harness, use a6 fuel rail and injector and intake manifold just to maki it easy. if you use the y8 injector you will also need to change the conetors on harness and the fi box in the corner for it to work and get the same result. use gasket for y8 and get arp head studs forthe a6

Stock b16a rods are two wide to fit the CTR pistons. CP pistons or aftermarket pistons can yeild a higher compression and you can find one that will fit on your stock rods. Unless you are trying to do a OEM build. HOW TO REMOVE A HONDA THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR TPS THE DREMMEL METHOD: Cut a slot into the "rivet-screw" Use a steady hand and cut carefully. Cut deep enough into the screw so that you can get a standard screwdriver blade into the slot. Unscrew the critter. RE-INSTALLING: You don't want to re-use those crappy "rivet-screws". Stock b16a rods are two wide to fit the CTR pistons. CP pistons or aftermarket pistons can yeild a higher compression and you can find one that will fit on your stock rods. Unless you are trying to do a OEM build. HOW TO REMOVE A HONDA THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR TPS THE DREMMEL METHOD: Cut a slot into the "rivet-screw" Use a steady hand and cut carefully. Cut deep enough into the screw so that you can get a standard screwdriver blade into the slot. Unscrew the critter. RE-INSTALLING: You don't want to re-use those crappy "rivet-screws". Hi there well I have a few things to add to a write up on ZC's that you have- link ZC swap info I just want to add to it since it was the only dam thing on the net that really helped me on my swap, it was the only artical to described the differnces well between ZC's. WONT START WITHOUT PUMPING THE GAS PEDAL The engine won't start without pumping the pedal a bit when cold (will start with about 2-3 cranks when warm). When trying to start it cold without hitting the gas the cel light will come on after 6-7 times cranking but when turned off and back on again it will just do its original "starting flash" then go out. Checked the wiring for iac thats fine ASSEMBLING AN LS/VTEC Here is the method I used: Make sure the floor beneath your engine is clean, or lay some newspaper down. On the first start up, turn the idle up to about 2000 RPM and let the engine come up to operating temp. Make sure that you are flowing water and that your fan (s) kick in when they should. STEP 4 .after the light goes off release the pedal,the light will then come on after about 4 seconds. STEP 5 when the light comes on press the pedal again STEP.6 the light will go off again,the relasepedal.

Jul 23, 2003. #4. correction, not all p75 heads are from b18's, some came from b20's like the ones found in the crv and others came from jdm b20's out of honda orthia's. i got all this info off honda tech so you can check there extensive b20 thread. but basically it states that the b20 heads from honda orthias have larger intake ENGINE REMOVAL GUIDE Check that the engine/transmission is completely free of vacuum hoses, fuel and coolant hoses and electrical wiring. 42. Slowly raise the engine approximately 150mm. Check once again that all hoses and wires are disconnected from the engine/transmission. 43. Raise the engine all the way, and remove it from the car. Hi there well I have a few things to add to a write up on ZC's that you have- link ZC swap info I just want to add to it since it was the only dam thing on the net that really helped me on my swap, it was the only artical to described the differnces well between ZC's. (NOT IACV) SORTED!!!!! ;-) Hi guys god this car is doing my head in, as posted in another tread vtec not kickin in. apart from that the car is running rough , low idle and when open the throttle slightly the car starts hunting (high low idle) things i have tried . Checked the wiring for iac thats fine ASSEMBLING AN LS/VTEC Here is the method I used: Make sure the floor beneath your engine is clean, or lay some newspaper down. On the first start up, turn the idle up to about 2000 RPM and let the engine come up to operating temp. Make sure that you are flowing water and that your fan (s) kick in when they should. B16 (HOW TO ) BIG COMPRESSION INCREASE ? Domi31. Aug 24, 2008. #6. you will have to get your rods machined to fit the CTR pistons on the stock b16a rods. Stock b16a rods are two wide to fit the CTR pistons. CP pistons or aftermarket pistons can yeild a higher compression and you can find one that will fit on your stock rods. Unless you are trying to do a OEM build.RESET ABS- HOW?
4. to reset the abs ecu turn ignition off ,STEP 2 depress brake pedal,turn ignition on STEP 3,the abs light will go off after about 2 seconds. STEP 4 .after the light goes off release the pedal,the light will then come on after about 4 seconds. STEP 5 when the light comes on press the pedal again STEP.6 the light will go off again,the relasepedal.
