DOCTORING THE BOX: CARROT CAKE FROM SPICE CAKE MIX Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare pan (s) by spraying baking spray with flour or by lining pans with parchment paper. Blend cake mix, water/pineapple juice mixture, vanilla, oil and eggs in large bowl with mixer at low speed until moistened, about 30 seconds. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. PETAL’D POETRY AND MAY GARDEN BLOOMS AROUND THE POTTING We planted an Amethyst Falls American Wisteria vine a couple of years ago to climb one of the posts of the Potting Shed. The American wisteria is better suited for smaller spaces, grows at about a third of the rate of Asian wisteria. The twining stems quickly DIY ‘BEE HAPPY’ WREATH AND HAPPY EARTH DAY When you are finished, cut the tails of your ribbon on an angle or in a notched-v shape. A honey dipper with bee was tied on to the center of the completed bow on the wreath. You can hang the wreath as is but I decided to add this decorative ‘Bee Happy’ Pitcher I found on Amazon to hang in the center. The handle of the pitcher hangs on the CREAMY CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP Add the garlic; cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Add 4 cups broth, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and tomatoes. Whisk together the masa and evaporated milk until blended. Stir into the soup. Cook over medium-high, stirring frequently, 10 minutes or until the mixture boils and thickens slightly. DIY TREE BARK FLOWER VASES + MONDAY MORNING BLOOMS Add a little nature to your décor with Tree Bark Flower Vases. An affordable and easy craft project you can do in under an hour. Happy Monday! We’ve enjoyed some beautiful spring weather the past couple of weeks despite ‘ the pollening’. . . Azaleas are in bloom along with snowball viburnum. . . HOW TO MAKE AN EZ LOOP YARN THROW BLANKET Pull the 3rd stitch up through the 2nd stitch and so on. Continue to end of row. Cut the last two loops, snipping them apart by the thread that creates the loop to create a yarn ‘tail’.
