In 1747 Maria Theresa appointed the first Court Furnishing Inspector, who was responsible for the care, inventarisation and transport of imperial furniture. LOOS - DESIGN & REDESIGN - IMPERIAL FURNITURE COLLECTION The Vienna Furniture Museum boasts one of the world’s largest collections of furniture designed by Adolf Loos (1870–1933). Danish design from 1900 Epitomizing a timeless yet modern lifestyle, Danish design continues to be hugely influential worldwide. The exhibition is being shown in collaboration with the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts in Leipzig and is supplemented with furniture designs from other renowned museums such as the Vienna MAK and the Vitra Design Museum, together with loans from private collectors.BÖSE DINGE
To this end he developed a complex system for categorizing all kinds of lapses in taste. Pazaurek was a member of the Deutscher Werkbund, an institution that believed objects had a strong influence on people, both in aesthetic as well as ethical and moral terms. RUPTURE AND CONTINUITY The grey areas in the legal position concerning former imperial property led to conflicts, some of which were milked for what they were worth in the media, such as the affair of the crown jewels, which Emperor Karl had had sent out of the country during the final days ofthe Monarchy.
