Healthy Families America (HFA) is a voluntary home visiting program launched in 1992 by Prevent Child Abuse America (formerly known as the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse), with funding from Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Freddie Mac Foundation, and is founded on the ideals of excellence, trust, and transformation. BECOMING A HEALTHY FAMILIES AMERICA AFFILIATE As mentioned above, there is a $500 application fee, payable to Prevent Child Abuse America. This fee is non-refundable. Additionally, every HFA program is responsible for payment of an annual fee once affiliation is granted. This will be invoiced upon confirmation ofaffiliation. The

Kit Patterson worked with Healthy Families programs for 18 years prior to joining the national office in 2019. She began as a home visitor at a Healthy Families site in the Chicago suburbs in 2001 and held a variety of program positions over a ten-year period. Families who enroll in HFA receive the support they need based on their specific circumstances. Culturally respectful support is available to families in more than 40 languages (based on individual community capacity).
