If you are having a problem with a wild animal, call the HAWS shelter at 262-542-8851. ADOPTION APPLICATION Please note, HAWS does not approve applications immediately when they are submitted. At the time you choose to adopt a pet, our adoption counselors will then review your application with you and help ensure the animal is a good fit. SCHALLOCK CENTER FOR ANIMALS Live. •. Each year HAWS offers support and sanctuary to more than 8,000 pets. The HAWS Schallock Center for Animals has an enriching, peaceful environment to provide hospice care, exercise and respite to pets in need. HAWS is committed to introducing pets to their forever homes and ensuring aVOLUNTEER – HAWS
To make sure we meet the needs of the animals at our shelter, volunteers must be able to serve on the same shift (s) weekly, at least three weeks per month, for a minimum of six months. Kids must be at least age 13; 13-15-year-olds must partner with a parent or guardian. 16-17-year-olds may volunteer independently with parentalconsent.
SNIP CLINIC
HAWS SNIP clinic is open Monday through Friday, by appointment only. HAWS’ Spay-Neuter Initiative Program Clinic provides spay/neuter procedures for animals at HAWS, animals belonging to breed-placement groups as well as animals belonging to members of the general community.. Spay/neuter surgery carries a one-time cost that is relatively small compared to the long-term benefits. EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Temporary full-time summer job at 30 to 40 hours a week. Hours between 7:45am and 5pm weekdays. 17 years of age or older. Must be comfortable handling a wide variety of animals including: dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, rodents. First Aid and/or CPR certified a plus. Must be comfortable with groups of children between the ages of 7 and 14.RUMMAGE-O-RESCUE

Animal Care. Positions are currently available in our Animal Care Area these are flexible permanent part time and full time positions. Must be available either Saturday and /or Sundays every week. Full time position will require driving duties. Hours fall in the range of 7:00am -7:00pm Monday thru Friday; 7:00am thru 5:00pm Saturday andSunday.
