WHEN IS HATCH CHILE SEASON? The typical season for chile here in the Hatch Valley runs from the first of August through the end of September. However, depending on the weather, we may have chile coming off by mid July. Some years, we've even harvested into the third week of October due to warm weather. On average, the season comes and goes pretty quickly though! HATCH CHILE RELLENOS Defrost the rellenos slightly (30 seconds in the microwave or 10-15 minutes left out). Then pan fry the rellenos on the stove for 7-10 minutes, or deep fry them at 375 for approximately 4 minutes in the light cooking oil of your choice. Alternatively, Air Fry on 400 till your cheese is thoroughly melted (typically around 9 minutes per 3rellenos).
