(June 10, 2021) – Erica Handy knows she faces quite the challenge as the new women’s basketball coach at Guilford Technical Community College. But she is totally undeterred, which pretty much describes the way she attacks life and basketball. “I’m going to try to build a successful community college basketball program that everyone will know about,” said Handy. There are three RISE math placement tests: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. Students must earn a 70 on each tier test to advance to the next level. Meaning, that if a student makes a 70 or higher on Tier 1, they can move on to Tier 2. If the person earns a 70 or higher on Tier 2, they can move on to Tier 3.
