Established in 2011, the GrowNYC Compost Program strives to make composting second-nature for all New Yorkers by operating residential Food Scrap Drop-off sites and partnering with community composting facilities to make compost locally. Currently re-building and fundraising in the wake of budget cuts related toCOVID-19
RECYCLING GAMES
Divide the players into two teams. Set the recycling receptacles 20 or 30 feet away. Stand by the pails to assist the players with getting the items into the correct bins. On "go" the students pick something from of the pile, run, deposit the object in the correct receptacle, and run back and tag the next person, who picks up another object and SOLVING NOISE PROBLEMS Turn down the volume of radios, stereos especially with headsets, I pods. Purchase the least noisy air conditioners and appliances for your homes and keep them in good repair. Create a demand for quieter appliances, e.g. hair dryers. Protect your children from noise: avoid noisy places but when you can't, cover your child's ears in theseplaces
