Basil . Basil is one of the essential Italian herbs and is very easy to grow. Genovese basil, with 2-3 inch long, dark green leaves, has a spicy, fragrant taste.Use for pesto, sauces, and general cooking. Lettuce leaf basil has a larger leaf (4-5 inches), is lighter green, and has a sweeter, less intense taste. Use fresh in salads, on crostini or bruschetta, or for general cooking. TOMATO SAN MARZANO REDORTA (106-94) Description San Marzano Redorta. Franchi Special Selection. Named for a mountain in the Alps, this is a very large (10-12 ounce) San Marzanotype plum tomato.
WINTER SQUASH BUTTERNUT RUGOSA (WRINKLED BUTTERNUT) (145 Description. Butternut Rugosa. Very large butternut type. Ribbed with 'wrinkled' skin. Very sweet and tasty, and much more interesting than the common butternut. Productive and a good keeper. 100 or so days to maturity. Grow as any other winter squash or butternut.
