REALISTIC FISHING LURES AND FLY TYING Realistic Fly Tying - Creating an Emerging Dragonfly. My goal was to create an adult dragonfly emerging from a semi-transparent nymph. The first step is creating a frame for the dragonfly nymph, using 35 lb mono fishing line. Tinted acrylic varnish was poured onto a mirror, allowed to dry, a strip was cut with a razor, and wrapped around to FLY TYING AND DRESSING EFFECTIVE FLIES FOR CATCHING TROUT Fly Tying. My favorite trout fly, size 18 to size 8 - simple and effective, I call it a Cracker. Mylar tinsel underbody, white glo-bug-yarn veil, with hollow ribbing in chartreuse or green, purple,etc.
AMAZING FLAME SKIMMER ORANGE DRAGONFLY MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY Luckily the fake fly held tight, otherwise, it would have likely disappeared as well. This beautiful dragonfly was as focused on lunch as my camera was upon it. Smiling for the camera. Beautiful Flame Skimmer (Libellula saturata) dragonfly, holding my realistic fly. This dragonfly pulled vigorously, and became increasingly agitated, missinglunch.
BEAUTIFUL ALLEN'S AND ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS Sweet wildflower nectar offers hummingbirds a delicious treat, while dusting their bills with pollen, to help pollinate the next blossom. These Look Tasty. STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL CREATING A REALISTIC HOUSE FLY First step is wrap some thread onto the leg material, and then tie Starling feather tips onto the bristles. The legs were held along the side of the fly, and secured to the hook. After each leg was secured, the thread was cut and used for making and tying additional legs.
