HOW TO WORK WITH SVG ICONS Icons with our default style. The only change between the top and bottom row is the font-size and color of the container. If the icon’s shapes do not inherit the parent’s text color (currentColor), check that you don’t have hardcoded fill attributes in your icon’s code. Why not style the svg selector directly?. We might have other SVG elements in the page that are not icons. FULL PAGE VIDEO BACKGROUND WITH MEDIA QUERIES Letterboxing by default. Taking a element and making it cover the viewport is as easy as with any HTML element, for instance with a fixed position:. #myvid { position: fixed; top: 0; right: 0; bottom: 0; left: 0; } This does make our video element take the viewport’swidth and height.

THE MATH OF CSS LOCKS A CSS lock is a Responsive Web Design technique that lets you transition smoothly between two values, depending on the current viewport size, rather than jump straight from one value to the other. IMAGE DECORATIONS FOR “OBJECT-FIT” The object-fit CSS property is a cool feature that lets you style the “content” of replaced elements (images, videos) in a way that is similar to the keyword values in background-size (most importantly cover and contain). There is also an object-position property that works almost like, you guessed it, background-position.. object-fit overview from the specREMARKDOWN.CSS
