FUTURE READY IOWA VIRTUAL MENTORING PROGRAM Become a Virtual Mentor Future Ready Iowa Virtual Mentoring is a statewide networking and professional development opportunity that connects students pursuing careers in high-demand fields with professionals in the workforce. It was developed to support the success of the Future Ready Iowa Grant and Last-Dollar Scholarship programs, moving Iowa toward its goal of ensuring that JOB CORPS | FUTURE READY IOWA Job Corps is a no-cost education and vocational training program to help young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through vocational and academic training. There are two Job Corps locations in Iowa; one in Denison and one in Ottumwa. Both offer pay and allowances, housing, meals, a wellness center and graduationbenefits.

CHILD CARE TASKFORCE Governor Reynolds launched the Child Care Taskforce on March 10, 2021, to develop a comprehensive strategy to address the child care shortage and barriers to work in Iowa. Child Care Taskforce Information CORONAVIRUS RELIEF FUND GRANT AWARDEES A series of Coronavirus Relief Fund grants were awarded to support Iowa's workforce though job training opportunities for those whose employment was affected by the pandemic. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds launched the Child Care Task Force to understand the issues facing child care providers in Iowa and help expand access to quality child care. Child care providers and advocates describe some of the barriers they face and explain how state funding is already helping them solve child care barriers intheir community.

On March 10, Governor Kim Reynolds signed Executive Order 8, launching a new Child Care Task Force to develop a comprehensive strategy to address the child care shortage and barrier to work in Iowa. The governor also announced awardees of two child care grant programs totaling $13,053,372 and contributing to the creation of more than 4,000 new child care slots across Iowa.*
