Thank you for the update Marianne. Very thoughtful of you. I got so much out of the book when I traveled through Southern Utah last fall. I was traveling alone and shot an instructional dvd called Yoga-Dance that is just now being released.IMPORT AN RV
The only additional charge to import an RV is an import fee of just over $200.00. As long as the RV was manufactured in The United States, Canada, or Mexico, no duty will apply when you import an RV.. (For other foreign vehicles you'll pay 6.1% duty.) REST STOPS - FRUGAL RV TRAVEL Roadside rest stops - much more than just a place to spend a free night. Many stops offer regional travel information, picnic facilities and, sometimes, free wi-fi, RV sanitary dumps, a scenic view, and maybe even a free morning coffee.ONTARIO BOONDOCKING
The average price for an Ontario provincial park campsite without services is $34.25 per night. ($39.25 with electricity. Most don't offer a full hook-up option.) These prices include tax. Since I don't need the hook-ups, I expected I could do a little better (price-wise) at private campgrounds.AFFORDABLE ONTARIO

It's where you'll find hundreds of new, legal, safe, affordable Ontario-wide and continent-wide boondocking options. (Yes, including in my back yard.) GAS PRICE COMPARISON FOR CANADIANS If we were crossing the border today, we would do this calculation: Divide $1.25 by 33.8 = .0369. Multiply by 128 = $4.73. Divide by 1.30 = $3.64. Whenever we pay less than that amount (in this example, US $3.64) per gallon, we're saving money. Of course, if there's a huge increase or drop in the average gas price in Canada or a major changein
HOW DO YOU GET BY WITHOUT HOOK-UPS? Marianne's Reply: The quick answer is that virtually all RVs are built to be used without hookups for a least a certain period of time..with a separate (deep cycle marine) battery that runs all camper aspects. Both the fresh water and waste holding tanks will, with some conservation, hold enough to last at least two to three days.BOONDOCKING SAFETY
There is some signage that's beneficial for boondocking safety and protecting your RV. A sticker to indicate a guard dog or alarm system is onboard (even if it's a lie.) If traveling alone, put 2 chairs, an extra pair of men's shoes (size large), or a large dog water-dish outside your door. Our first used RV came with a sticker for DucksUnlimited.
