COMMON SYMPTOMS
The symptoms of MSPI can consist of abdominal discomfort, colic, vomiting, loose stools, or visible blood in the stool. However, the presentation of these symptoms is not as severe as that of FPIES. FPIES reactions can be dramatic, with significant fluid loss through vomiting and massive diarrhea, and can result in severe and rapiddehydration.
TREATMENT AND MANAGEMENT The term “food trial” does not have a formal medical definition. In the older food allergy literature, the term “trial” appears. This is not a term used in contemporary allergy practice. Physicians and patients might use the term “food trial” to mean they are either eating a food or avoiding a food to see the effect it may have on a health outcome.FOOD JOURNALING

This model operates with a goal of helping group members to better develop coping skills as they relate to the struggles that the family faces in terms of diagnosis (in our case, FPIES). There may be other group goals involved in this model, but coping skills development is 5 WAYS TO THANK A DOCTOR! Probably the easiest way to thank a doctor is to send them a note to let them know how much you appreciate their hard work. Just jot down a few lines on a card and slip it in the mailbox or take it with you at your next appointment.
