When your teen or tween wants hair dye here are points about safetyand school rules.
5 WAYS WITH LEFTOVER CHRISTMAS MINCEMEAT Mincemeat Shortbread. Ingredients. 8oz (225g) plain flour. 1 level teaspoon of baking powder. 4 oz (110g) soft margarine. 2 oz (50g) light soft brown sugar FIVE SIMPLE WAYS TO BRIGHTEN A PHOTO WITH LIGHTROOM There is more than one way to fix a dark exposure in Lightroom. Try a few before choosing the best for your image. Get to grips with photoediting.
5 WAYS TO GET YOUR TEENAGERS INTO THE GARDEN when we lived in South Africa we could never get our two teen boys indoors, they set the xbox up outside, we had limited access to the internet and a swimming pool as well as living on a golf course where all there school friends lived so nothing was ever an effort, we ate most of our meals outdoors as we cooked most of them outdoors and there was nothing on the TV, they would mow the lawn and JUDGING A PHOTOGRAPH A series of blog posts discussing how my competition photograph was judged, to give an idea of how critics look at images. Also a look atphoto editing.
HIKING WITH ARTHRITIS I’ve now had a year to recover from my foot surgery. I still have pain but much less, and my foot is more flexible. It will be great to be able to get out and trek this summer, but I’m going to review walking poles for the first time, in the hope they could take some of the strain when I walk.. My foot story – surgery for arthritis HOW IS FIBRE BROADBAND INSTALLED? We upgraded our internet connection to fibre broadband to get a faster web connection. As a photographer, I have almost 2TB of photos to back up to our cloud service. 12 GENERALISATIONS ABOUT THE FRENCH While we on holiday in France last year we made plenty of observations about French people and French culture. I disapprove of generalising or tarring a nation with one brush but it looks like I’m going to do it anyway, and I don’t think anyone will mind just this once. FRENCH SWIM AND BEACH RULES On a French beach or at swimming pools there are rules on swimwear, clothes, dogs, smoking, picnics and much more. Be prepared before travelling to France.FALCONDALE LIFE

One of my favourite things about our self-drive trips to France has been the chance to stay in a few different places on one holiday. One time, after a week near Guerande in the Loire Atlantique region, we had a second week in western Brittany. On the drive between the two we stopped to see theCarnac Megaliths.
PHOTOGRAPHY IN AUTO MODE I am a photographer myself. Indoors or when it is overcast I use manual. If I am out in the sun or using a prime, I use Aperture Priority. I learned a long time ago, that if I wanted to improve my photography, I had learn all other priorities settings and experiment. TEENS TAKING GCSES: WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF YEAR 11 The summer after GCSEs at the end of year 11 is a long break. It’s full of possibilities. Before we even get to the school summer holidays my daughter Fizz has an awful lot of revision and pressure. As her parent, I don’t get a lot of information in advance. 5 WAYS TO GET YOUR TEENAGERS INTO THE GARDEN Tactic no. 1: a suitable and appealing garden space. The first goal is to have somewhere nice to go. Our garden isn’t very attractive now as the grass is quite soggy, so it’s dying. Next door our neighbours have switched to fake grass.
