2019 EQUALS Skills Coalition Publication I’d Blush if I Could: Closing gender divides in digital skills through education is the Skills Coalition's first report. This publication analyses the gender gap in ICT skills and the feminization of digital voice assistants, explores the inverse correlation between gender equality and technological skills and education around the world, and provides TACKLING GENDER-BASED LABOUR EXPLOITATION OF MIGRANT The app also allowed auditors to unmask gender-based labour abuse and exploitation, such as debt bondage, harassment and violence, and reproductive health discrimination. The Access Coalition is focused on reducing the gender gap in internet access and use by working across four main areas of action: The need for gender-disaggregated data and evidence base on internet access and use to inform policy and strategy development, implementation and monitoring (in partnership with the EQUALS Research Coalition). TRANSFORMING RURAL WOMEN'S LIVES THROUGH TECH Rural people around the world, despite contributing immensely to the global economy, face greater obstacles to sustainable development and a decent quality of life than their urban counterparts. Rural women and girls in particular "lack equal access to productive resources and assets, public services, such as education and health care, and infrastructure", as well as access to internet and ACCESS LEARNING SESSIONS The EQUALS Access Coalition Learning Sessions aim to engage diverse stakeholders to discuss practical lessons and solutions to close the digital gender gap. These sessions will draw from research and real-world examples of best practice from different organisations that are driving initiatives to increase internet access and use amongwomen.

MEET CHARBEL, A SOFTWARE ENGINEER BRIDGING THE GENDER The Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) is a youth-led movement of social innovators who have the tools, knowledge, and networks to create opportunities and transform their communities. An EQUALS partner in the Access Coalition, DOT works with youth, the private sector, governments, and community-based organizations in 25 countries towards a collaborative vision of communities around the world THE DIGITAL GENDER DIVIDE, UNIVERSAL DESIGN, AND In ICT Discovery museum, ITU and the Mission of the United States in Geneva co-organized workshops for local school girls on satellites, coding, mobile apps, + video, together with the chance to meet expert role models. MISS GEEK AFRICA PROMOTES GIRLS IN ICT AT TRANSFORM AFRICA “What started as a small idea in Rwanda is now a part of the Smart Africa agenda,” said Lucy Mbabazi, President of Girls in ICT Rwanda.
