The Senate Environment and Public Works committee will mark up a bipartisan transportation bill on Wednesday that includes $350 million for wildlife crossings, which would allow animals to safely traverse over and under roadways and access newhabitat.
CHARGE AHEAD CALIFORNIA Transportation is the single largest source of global warming pollution in California, creating pollutants that harm our environment and our health. But California can get in the driver’s seat and lead the transition from dirty vehicles to clean electric cars, trucks andbuses.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEFENSE: THE ARCTIC NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE One of the most spectacular wildlife migrations in the world takes place each spring and summer on the coastal plain of America's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.
