Butternut Squash & Caramelized Onion Popovers with Goat Cheese Crumble. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Popover Bites. Very VanillaPopovers
SWEET CREAM VANILLA POPOVERS The recipe I can make in my sleep. The recipe I prepare multiple times a month. The recipe I pull together on vacation, or while visiting family. This is my most loved recipeand it never fails me. Add a buttery syrup. Add whipped cream. Add berries, or add nothing at all. Anything goes here. SUGAR FREE LOW CARB AND YET REALLY GOOD CREAM CHEESE Spray pan and paper. In small saucepot over medium heat, or in the microwave, melt chocolate and butter until smooth. Allow to cool slightly. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, vanilla with the Truvia. Slowly add in chocolate mixture until well combined. In THE BEST MACARONI AND CHEESE WITH TOASTED BREAD CRUMBS Instructions. On medium heat melt clarified butter in frying pan. Add panko to pan and toast. Stir constantly to promote even coloring until golden brown. Place on lined tray and allow to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, combine with chopped parsley and parmesan. Combine the topping cheeses to finish and divide. CREAMY CHEESECAKE POPOVERS Instructions. Preheat oven to 375F. Divide the 3 tablespoons butter into the cups of your Pop Over Pan. (If you don’t own one, you can use a muffin tin, but you will need to use all 12 cups. Spaghetti Nachos. While the lasagna noodles boil, brown the onions and hamburger together over medium heat. Season as desired. Add the prepared pasta sauce and allow to simmer over low heat until needed. When pasta is cooked, remove from heat and drain. Allow the pasta to air dry for a moment, or, blot with paper towels. CABO FISH TACO: REVIEW & RECIPE Tacos: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Coat the mahi mahi with blackening seasoning. Add some olive oil to a saute pan and add the mahi mahi. In a separate plate or large shallow bowl, combine crumbs, salt, and garlic. Bring oil to 350-375. Remove frozen macaroni from parchment and cut into small squares or triangles. SPAGHETTI POPOVERS
Preheat oven to 375. Prepare a large, evenly prepare a 6 cup Popover Pan with the butter. Place the pan in the oven for 3 minutes to melt the butter. Remove pan when melted. Spray each vessel with cooking spray to prevent any sticking. Add cooked spaghetti into each of the 6vessels. Set aside.
CHOCOLATE CAGE TUTORIAL Once your chocolate is JUST melted (not too runny, not to hot, just melted), load it into a piping bag. Snip the end just a bit, leaving a fairly small hole for the chocolate to pipe through. If it seems too small, snip a little more. You don’t want the cage to be ASPIC. Spaghetti Nachos. While the lasagna noodles boil, brown the onions and hamburger together over medium heat. Season as desired. Add the prepared pasta sauce and allow to simmer over low heat until needed. When pasta is cooked, remove from heat and drain. Allow the pasta to air dry for a moment, or, blot with paper towels. FLATBREAD PIZZA WITH FIG, PEARS AND ARUGULA Instructions. To make the flatbreads, preheat oven to 475 degrees F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets. Stir together flatbread mix and yeast (enclosed in box). Add warm water and oil, stirring until dough forms a ball. Cover dough and let rest 10-20 minutes. Shape dough bydividing into 2
NATIONAL LEMON MERINGUE PIE DAY…AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIA I adore lemon meringue pie. Piles and piles of glorious white meringue, toasted to perfection, tangy yellow curdit really doesn’t get much better. So, not wonder someone smart petitioned to make today Lemon Meringue Pie DayI can’t blame them one bit. Unfortunately, I am a slacker, and due to a new cookbook (yes, really), a CARBONNADES A LA FLAMANDE…LE CREUSET DOUFEU COOKING Saute the onions and mushrooms in the same doufeu, until onions are translucent. Add beer to deglaze the pot, scraping brown bits from bottom of the doufeu. Return meat to pot and add seasonings, Worchestershire, cream, and butter. In small saucepot over medium heat, or in the microwave, melt chocolate and butter until smooth. Allow to cool slightly. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, vanilla with the Truvia. Slowly add in chocolate mixture until well combined. In SWEET CREAM VANILLA POPOVERS The recipe I can make in my sleep. The recipe I prepare multiple times a month. The recipe I pull together on vacation, or while visiting family. This is my most loved recipeand it never fails me. Add a buttery syrup. Add whipped cream. Add berries, or add nothing at all. Anything goes here. CREAMY CHEESECAKE POPOVERS Instructions. Preheat oven to 375F. Divide the 3 tablespoons butter into the cups of your Pop Over Pan. (If you don’t own one, you can use a muffin tin, but you will need to use all 12 cups. Just divide the butter up evenly) Place the pan in the oven for 3-5 minutes while you are making the batter. Spray medium casserole dish (we used 9 x 13) with non-stick spray. Set aside. Prepare sausage and onions. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, including sausage and onions. Pour into prepared casserole dish. Reserve RAISIN WALNUT CHICKEN SALAD 2 cups diced rotisserie chicken. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 3 tablespoons minced celery. 2 teaspoons lemon juice. 3 tablespoons mayonnaise. 1/4 cup crushed walnuts. 1/4 cup California raisins. THE BEST MACARONI AND CHEESE WITH TOASTED BREAD CRUMBS Instructions. On medium heat melt clarified butter in frying pan. Add panko to pan and toast. Stir constantly to promote even coloring until golden brown. Place on lined tray and allow to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, combine with chopped parsley and parmesan. Combine the topping cheeses to finish and divide. TIME TO MAKE THE DOUGHNUTS After the 10 minutes have passed on the yeast, add the mixture to the butter/egg combination, and mix for a few minutes. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Begin adding the flour, one half cup at a time, until it is all incorporated. Use a medium speed for this. Do not over knead, dough will be a bit sticky. FIREHOUSE SAUSAGE CHILI Instructions. Sauté onions in large skillet (or in base of large enameled cast iron Dutch oven), in butter and garlic until translucent. Remove all but about 1/2 cup from the sauté pan and reserve for later use. Halve each piece lengthwise, and spread with melted butter on each of the cut sides. lay open faced on a baking sheet. Top the four bottom halves with equal amounts of the roast beef and two slices of mozzarella. DEEP FRIED MACARONI AND CHEESE BITES Combine egg and milk in shallow dipping bowl. In a separate plate or large shallow bowl, combine crumbs, salt, and garlic. Bring oil to 350-375. Remove frozen macaroni from parchment and cut into small squares or triangles. Dip each into egg wash, then coat with crumbs. Fry 5-6 in hot oil until both sides are golden brown. CABO FISH TACO: REVIEW & RECIPE Tacos: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Coat the mahi mahi with blackening seasoning. Add some olive oil to a saute pan and add the mahi mahi. Cook until flaky, about 3 to 5 minutes. Shred the fish with a fork or a spoon. WE ARE BACK IN THE STATES! Like most of you, Rust and I have been hunkered down at home since March, when we luckily hopped out of Thailand just in time to avoid being quarantined there! Since then, we spent several weeks living in our cabin in Virginia, but have been here in Texas since mid-May. All summer plans, including our Alaskan Cruise and return to Thailand have been canceled, but hopefully the world will reopen soon! Beautiful here in Mackinaw City.
