Hays founded Hays Travel along with her late husband John in Sunderland, UK in 1980 and the company has since become the UK’s largest independent travel agency group. Plans are progressing well in spite of the ongoing impact of the NEW AMBASSADOR CRUISE LINE LAUNCHES IN UK Ambassador Cruise Line has become the first new cruise line to launch in Britain since 2010, with sales for itineraries opening this June and inaugural cruises starting in April 2022. Designed to offer a “premium-value, authentic cruise experience”, Ambassador Cruise Line will homeport at London Tilbury and offer no-fly itineraries that are primarily aimed at guests aged 50 and above. To celebrate the launch of the new ship, guests will be given a welcome cocktail on the promenade at the beginning of their cruise. In total, MedCruise members hosted a total of 1,254 calls and 2,033,804 passenger movements. Participants have until 1 August 2021 to submit digital or hand-drawn designs, as well as a 250-word description of MYSTIC CRUISES REFITS NEWLY ACQUIRED SHIP VASCO DA GAMA Mystic Cruises is refitting its cruise ship Vasco de Gama at Lisnave Shipyard in Setúbal, Portugal, after acquiring the vessel at auction in November 2021. Vasco da Gama will receive five selective catalytic reduction systems to bring her emissions below the International Maritime Organization’s Tier III standards, in a project led by marine engineering consultancy TecnoVeritas.
