They can be employees from a particular company, members of a club or association, a group of friends who would like to spend time together at a volunteer activity, or an individual whowants
KEEPING VOLUNTEER INFORMATION UP-TO-DATE Organizations struggle with keeping very basic contact information about their volunteers up-to-date because email addresses and phone numbers change so frequently (my mother has had the same phone number for the last 45 years, while mine has changed probably a dozen times in the last 25 years), and volunteers often forget to notify organizations they are helping about such changes. FINDING ONLINE VOLUNTEERING / VIRTUAL VOLUNTEERING Among their online offerings is a list of volunteering opportunities at various programs, many of them online. Catchafire is an online volunteer matching service, and most of the assignments are very short (microvolunteering). Chezuba is a platform to match online volunteers with nonprofits that need them (virtual volunteering). YOU ARE NOT TOO YOUNG TO VOLUNTEER! The same is true for other organizations, like hospitals, senior homes, homeless shelters and other organizations - most won't allow anyone under 16, even 18, to volunteer, because their insurance company won't allow such, or because they don't have things for children or young teens to do, or they don't have adequate supervisionin place to
