Andy Beshear invited Kentuckians to get a COVID-19 vaccine and enter for a Shot at a Million - the state's new vaccine incentive drawing. "This is a lifesaving and now possibly life-changing opportunity," said Gov. Beshear. "You can get your shot of hope and then enter for a shot at $1 million or a shot at one of 15 full scholarships - both protecting you from this deadly virus and possibly transforming yourfuture."
The Governor announced two types of drawings that permanent residents of Kentucky can enter to win, at shotatamillion.ky.gov, if they have
received at least the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. $1 MILLION: Kentuckians 18 years old and older who have received at least their first dose of a Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, may enter to win one of three $1million drawings.

_Frankfort, KY -_ Kentuckians will be able to pay court costs, fines and fees at ATM-like contraptions in select courthouses across Kentucky by next year. A pilot project to install the self-service kiosks by January 2022 in strategic locations throughout the state is costing $1 million, said Kentucky Chief Justice John D. Minton Jr. while testifying before Thursday's meeting of the Interim Joint Committee on Judiciary. Minton said the money was part of the $14.7 million the General Assembly appropriated for judicial branch technology upgrades in House Bill 556 from the 2021 Regular Session. If the pilot program is successful, additional kiosks could be placed in commercial locations, such as grocery stores or pharmacies, Minton said. Similar kiosks are already used in neighboring Virginia to offer essential court services outside of office hours. ARTICLE CONTINUES... topic CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY Cumberland County Chicken Snake _2021-06-04 - Cumberland Co., KY - Photo courtesy Jason Stailey_. ------------------------- Jason Stailey caught this Chicken Snake in the hills of northern Cumberland County last week. He said it needed to live because it is a "good snake" - they help control many other pests around the yard. Jason said, "He was a good sized snake. And they are good to have around. I watched a video of a rattlesnake in a guys yard that he was trying to run off. A large black snake comes along while he's video taping and grabs the rattler then kills and eats it. Most people want to kill any snake they see not knowing many of the non poisonous onesare very helpful."

Haskiells selling Kozy Haven after eight years Kozy Haven Log Cabin Rentals is located just off Exit 49 in Columbia, KY, near the south end of the Veterans Memorial Bypass. It is a unique property that offers log cabin rentals to tourists visiting Green River Lake and Lake Cumberland, plus many folks visiting LindseyWilson College.
Peggy Haskiell has been in charge of the day-to-day operations, but she plans to retire in order to assist her elderly father, who is facing several health-related issues. The business was started in 2013 shortly after John and Peggy Haskiell purchased the property from the late Hazel Parson's estate. At that time, the property contained only Hazel's original two bedroom cottage, which is still on the property today, and a white storage barn. The Haskiells originally built four "Smokey Mountain"-style log cabins, and demand has been so high that they've added more cabins, a 2-bedroom log home, a playground, and a picnic area. They have lodged guests from all 50 states and 48 countries, hosting countless family reunions and even weddings. ARTICLE CONTINUES...
