Definitely skip the Sage grinder, it’s not good enough for the money. If buying new maybe a MBK Feld 47/JX-Pro hand grinder for 160-180 ish if you want to single dose and not use a hopper. Without a lot of faff/mods the cheapest electric single doser is the NicheZero £500.

I don't make many drinks, mostly one or two espresso per day and the odd milky one. But I like to have the option to make more milk based if needed. I'm kind of torn between the Mechanika V Slim and the Profitec Pro 500 pid. WHERE CAN YOU 'BUY' A NICHE ZERO? There is a risk in the transaction no doubt. That said there is a risk with every transaction unless you go into the shop and buy it there and then. As we’ve seen in the last year any business can go under even if they’re making sales. This should be set to 1 I believe. I bet your machine is still in the initial heat up phase, which overshoots the temperature of the brew boiler to 130C. Snd that’s why you are seeing boiling water. Set it to 1, pull a shot...*

Posted 42 minutes ago For a vibe pump machine, just set the pump between 9 and 10 on the machines gauge when running against a blind filter, and it will all begood.

Didn't Hoffman use a gauge that simulates flow and it measured the same as the machine also? For what it's worth, I found this comment on Reddit regarding this topic and it sums up what Hoffman was tryingto...

If here’s no flowing the portafilter - assuming that’s what you have - both manometers will measure the same as the whole circuit is primed and under the same pressure. You need a pressurize gauge whichcould...
