Bag, quilt, and embroidery patterns. Website under construction. Shop is still active. Thank you for your patience! EGG CUP PINCUSHION VIDEO TUTORIAL #EGGCUPPINNIETUTORIAL I recently happened upon these cute egg cups from City to Cottage and thought they’d be perfect for pincushions, so I bought a few and recorded a quick video tutorial. For this project you need an egg cup, hot glue gun, polyfill, 4 1/4” diameter fabric circle, and a needle and thread. YouTube. Clover & Violet. 475 subscribers. THE POSEY SUPPLY CASE The Posey supply case is the perfect accessory for bringing your embroidery or English Paper Piecing out with you. Both sizes have a large zipper pocket, three pockets covered with a flap, and a zipper pouch in the center. The supply case is secured with an elastic band.See
ZIPPER ONLY TUTORIAL BASIC ZIPPER POUCH I cut mine to 3″ x 1 1/2″. Fold in half and press. Then open and fold the outer edges toward the middle, with the raw edge 1/2 way between the fold and the center, press again. Next, sew your zipper tabs to the ends of your sipper. Stitch the zipper closed, then trim to 1/4″ longer than the stitching line. BAGS FOR QUILTERS :: FUSIBLE FLEECE & THERMOLAM PLUS Pellon TP971 Fusible Thermolam Plus is an extra lofty needled fleece, so it is both thicker and denser than regular fusible fleece. Fusible Thermolam Plus is great for larger bags that will be soft without a lot of patchwork, like the Sophie beach bag. Since this bag does not have a lot of quilting and is larger, it is much easier to assemble EASY FABRIC TRAYS {MINI TUTORIAL} The sizes you see here are (measurements of the rectangles/squares I cut, not finished sizes): Rectangle – 6″ x 10″ – 1″ corners. Large Square – 7″ – 3/4″ corners. Small Square – 5″ – 1/2″ corners. I think these are perfect for a little bit oftreasured

FREE WASHI TAPE EMBROIDERY PATTERN & GIVEAWAY # While the world is on Stay Home to help slow the spread of Covid-19 I’m sharing my Washi Tape Pincushion Pattern with you for free! Hand embroidery is one of my favorite slow sewing pastimes, and I love that you don’t need many supplies to get started! I’ve put together a few kits for local friends who would like to give embroidery a try.FINISHING A QUILT
Finishing a Quilt. November 16, 2020 by Jennie. The best part about moving is finding things that were lost! Take this quilt, it’s been sitting in a box for approximately four years until I finished it this weekend. I started this quilt back in 2016 and made the whole top before tucking it away. I used my Take Along Quilt tutorial, the first EASY FABRIC TRAYS {MINI TUTORIAL} The sizes you see here are (measurements of the rectangles/squares I cut, not finished sizes): Rectangle – 6″ x 10″ – 1″ corners. Large Square – 7″ – 3/4″ corners. Small Square – 5″ – 1/2″ corners. I think these are perfect for a little bit oftreasured
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SINGLE FOLD AND DOUBLE FOLD BIAS The difference is, after the top strip came out of the bias tape maker, I folded it in half again. So, for the top tape, if you wanted to purchase an equivalent, you’d buy 1/2″ double fold bias tape. For the bottom, you’d buy 1″ single fold bias tape. Some projects that require bias tape {like finishing an applique} do not apply the LONE QUILT BLOCK PILLOW {TUTORIAL} 1 – 15″ x 6 1/2″ for back. 14 1/2″ square prewashed flannel. 14 1/2″ or longer invisible zipper. Begin by sewing a 1 1/2″ border around your quilt block to bring it up to the size of the pillow. This will allow you to make almost any quilt block into any size pillow, rather than worry about making the pillow the exact sizeof the block.

When you leave the opening for turning, stitch a couple of stitches into the stay stitching on either edge. Then turn your item, you’ll find that PATCHWORK LITTLE GIRL’S PURSE {TUTORIAL} This will make a box at the bottom of purse. For the larger size purse draw a line 1 1/2″ from the point and sew a seam then cut leaving a 1/4″ seam allowance. Trim off the excess and leave 1/4″ seam. Turn the purse right side out. Place a pin in the middle of the purse front and back for the pleat. FRENCH SEAM ZIPPER POUCH (A TUTORIAL) Using a 1/4″ seam allowance, stitch around three sides of the pouch, back stitching at the zipper to secure in place. Trim the points and at the closed side of the zipper. Turn bag wrong sides out, push out corners, and press seams. Stitch a 3/8″ seam allowance around the same three sides of the bag, this will seal the raw edges. BAGS — CLOVER & VIOLET Website under construction. Shop is still active. Thank you for yourpatience!
