The Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI) is a professional qualification for those who work, or would like to work, as interpreters for Police forces in TRANSLATING DIVISION Translating Division. The main focus of the Committee's activities is member support and engagement through events. Founded in 1982 by the late Ruth Robertson MCIL, the Scottish Society meets four times a year – normally in February, May, September and November – with the AGM being held as part of the November meeting. To accommodate as many members as possible, the Society rotates its venues across Scotland. CODE OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT As the professional body for all linguists, CIOL represents the language profession in all fields and sectors. Setting the standard. CIOL sets and maintains high standards of entry for membership and requires all members and honorary members (irrespective of grade), plus Chartered Linguists from CIOL and other qualifying organisations, to adhere to the general principles as set out in the code. GREEK EMBASSY: APPROVED TRANSLATORS / INTERPRETERS Greek Embassy: approved translators / interpreters. The Greek Embassy in the UK requires that official Greek/English translation and interpretation services must be carried out by CIOL members registered with the Greek Embassy. This applies only to the Greek Embassy in the UK. Other embassies in the UK will accept translations certified byCIOL
